~ pentingnya penjagaan mata ~

i refrained myself from connecting to kehidupn alam maya from home since jumaat kerana i dh thp nk termuntah ijau mengadap laptop dan gigih siapkn krja kt rumah, WALAUPUN cuti. ye... mmg nk muntah ijau kalo kna hadap nearly 4000pages of Word document, harus sorting the list cz list tak sprti yg dihrpkn & do some editing here and there to reduce d number of pages. mmg nk muntah ijau kalo dh menghadap laptop dr bgn tido (lps mndi & brkfst & settlekn urusan rumah) smpi la ke mlm2 buta... bgn dr katil hanya utk g mkn, minum, solat, mndi, g toilet, buat stretching kaki sket & then continued to look at the screen for the nearly 4000pages document. i sprti org yg sgt x terurus. my mom pn xbrani nk kaco i once i dh dok bertapa dlm gua ats katil ni.

 

bila dh terrrrrrlalu lamaaaaaa sgt mengadap laptop (at home) and PC (in the office), finally on friday (after submitted document yg xbrp nk siap tu) i made my weekend resolution utk tidak mengadakan sebrg connection dgn alam maya until Monday. (**and also utk qadha tido cz i've been sleep deprived for several days as a result of kerja yg i kna settlekn tu). apart from exhaustion, d other reasons y i decided to refrain myself from getting connected dgn kehidupan alm maya adalah krn:-

 

coordination between my brain, eyes & fingers adalah xbgs

i kept on tersilap type when i sent messages to my frens. silap eja la, tertggl perkataan la. jenuh nk delete memnjg. brain transmitted different message but my fingers pressed different letters. so, i thought, sudah cukup sudah...berehat adalah lbh baik.

 

i saw things differently

org ckp, kalo mengadap lamaaaa sgt kt laptop or PC xbgs utk kesihatan mata. mata jd cpt letih. mata cpt berair. mata cpt berpinar. apa segala la yg org ckp psl keadaan kesihatan mata yg xbaik if trlalu lama sgt menghadap d screen. terbuktinye mata i mmg letih ya amat beberapa hari tu. there's 1 giant billboard psl melancong kt Jkrta kt tepi jln sepjg highway Sg Besi yg berbunyi "tertarik, inilah masanya". however bila npk that giant billboard, mata i lk captured the message differently...

i love to read, am passionate about it, tp i only read books/materials yg i suka, yg i pilih. i hv never been forced to read when i was small. thus, the passion comes naturally 'cz i leh pilih whtever i like. the only limitation is that we were only allowed to buy English books/comics. takpe, xde hal. makanye, "Dennis the menace" comics, Archie & Jughead, Anne of Green Gable and Mr. Pink Whistle's Party... those are among the titles that i read when i was small.

 

primary school... secondary school... after SPM... masih lg cntinue bc buku citer. i can still remember, while waiting for my SPM result, evry week g kedai buku, pilih 1 buku citer & completed in 1 week. d following week g lg, beli lg 1 & abih in 1 week. d following week g lg & beli lg 1 buku. semua guna duit BAPAK, bkn duit sndiri (mna de duit sndiri pn). by d end of the month, jst realized that my father had to spend nearly rm150 utk i sorg, in a month, just nk beli buku citer bg memenuhkn ms2 lapang i smntara nk tgg result SPM. tu lah, i nk krja parttime x dibagi, hehehehe.

 

ms matriculation & zmn undergraduate... still bc buku citer. nk exam pn menyelit2 bc buku citer. konon2 nk bg release sket semak kpale byk sgt nk kna hapal. kalo x bc buku citer, i main game. kalo x main game, i bc buku citer. kalo study, gigih kemain bc & HAFAL notes networking, database, coding for sbjct programming. ada la ketidaksukaan membaca notes ms tu sbb related dgn study. jgn tiru perangai sebegini. utk nk lulus exam, xleh xsuka bc buku teks/notes...dgr ckp i ni, hehehe. 

 

ms wat Masters... hmmmm... hobi bc buku citer kna compete dgn bc JOURNAL ARTICLES...bc RESEARCH PAPERS... bc GUIDELINES... bc mnda2 ilmiah yg ms tu rs cm "waaahhh hbt btul pemikiran diorg ni wt research hebat cenggini. tp awat aku susah sgt nk absorb, nk phm & nk wt summary ni?" nangesssss!!! zmn study ms wat Masters penuh dgn titisan airmata. tp main Zuma tgh2mlm ms septtnye bc articles, xpulak le nanges kn, muahahaha. wt Masters fulltime & krja parttime sbnrnye xde la sesusah wt Masters parttime & krja fulltime. & i salute tinggi ex-opismet yg buat Masters parttime ms dia krja dgn i dulu. mna nk bc notes... nk buat assignmnt... nk g klas lps krja... nk bc buku citer lg... huhuhuhu. xkesah la study on fulltime or parttime basis, yg pntgnye xde menda senang when it comes to studying. so, bertahan jelah (wpn buku2 citer ms tu kna compete dgn mnda2 len).

 

ms dh krja... bc buku citer kt umah time sambil menyambil tgk tv, tgh mkn or b4 nk tido. on weekends/holidays, lps subuh dh xleh tido tu menyambung le bc buku citer smpi tetiba je buku terlps dr tgn cz dh tertido. nk bc buku citer during office hours, mmg cnfirm le x dpt. bc menda2 len yg terjumpa2 time browsing the internet tu, adalah jugak. tp takut gk nt jd addicted, pdhal dah mmg sah2 le krja mmg xabis2. bnda paling sengal nk bc adalah bc manual/guidelines/technical stuff yg fuhmakaiii memerlukan kesabaran & full concentration & analytical thinking (some of it) smpi kekadang lh buat dahi i berkerut.

 

it's definitely THE greatest gift that i hv this passion to read, even though i'm being selective of the books/materials that i love to read. however, with our nature of working with books in the library, ppl expect us to read&know more than d rest. oleh itu, haruslah i memantapkan diri & lbh byk bc lg. kna gigih berusaha memupuk minat. tu blom masuk bab nk kna pupuk kesabaran bc menda2 technical yg related to the job (*sigh*). if there's one magic wand that can transform me to be someone who's passionate to read about almost everything, that would b fun-tastic =)

i had this for the 1st time ms minum kt kedai mamak nearby Ampang Point with my friends. ms tu xle rs cm sdp sgt. biasa2 je. xpaham why my friend said sedap sgt three layer tea ni. then tried this drink masa mkn kt The Chicken Rice shop recently. tu pn bkn i yg beli, i tried yg kwn i order. ms tu la br rs hah mmg sgt nikmat sedap giller ni!!! lpstu rs cm dh kemaruk asyik nk three layer tea je. 

 

de skali tu g mkn kt Bangi & ordered this drink. mslhnye, mybe org kedai tu xbrp terer lg wt three layer tea. trus pangkah restoren tu py three layer tea =( mbe gk cz i dh pnah rs yg sedap py kt TCRS, trus la rs restoren ni py xsedap. smlm went to Midvalley, had lunch at The Warung, ordered soto ayam & three layer tea. fuuuuhhhh...sedap giller!!! now i know where i can get three layer tea plg nikmat - The Chicken Rice Shop & The Warung at Midvalley.

 

ye, i tau... kamu-dan-kamu-dan-kamu mungkin dh muak minum ni. mungkin kamu-dan-kamu-dan-kamu dh laaaaaaama sgt tau kesedapan three layer tea ni. tp i br discover this drink. kasi chan la eh =)

not many people can undrstnd how i can spend time berlama2 dlm bookstore. well, it's because i was raised that way (hahaha). i started reading at a very young age... by that i mean very, very young. my parents used to bring my sister & i to bookshops. we were free to belek2/pilih storybooks, colouring books, comics, stationery, art supplies, etc2 that we wanted. masa tu kecik lg. so xpikir pn la parents ni sure menggelabah nk kuarkn duit cz anak2 diorg berlama2 dlm kedai buku tu & dh pilih mcm2 sgt brg utk beli.

 

bila dh besar, br le pikir - "parents aku dulu krja keras nk cari duit utk ank2. kitorg lk asal masuk kedai buku, sure nk lama2. lpstu nk beli buku mcm2. kesiannye diorg". tp, kesedaran cmtu dh terlambat, nasik dh jd bubur... habit dr kecik dh membw ke besar. i mean, habit dok dlm kedai buku lma2 la (bkn habit gna duit mak bapak nk beli buku). smpi skrg i can sit for hours in a bookshop tnpa rs bersalah walau sikit pun. eh, silap... kalo i TERbw masuk kwn yg xbrp sgt suka nk dok lma2 dlm kedai buku, br la rs bersalah, hehehe.

 

msa wt matric & de 1 semester tu i amik kelas English je (1 semester amik English semata), rs bosannye kehidupan. trlbh rileks sgt. so, pnah la dgn roommate & her friend spent time dok 3jam dlm MPH. spent 3jam dlm kedai buku bersma kwn ms dh masuk uni cm agak rare case bunyinye. bila dh wt degree lk, smtimes g kedai buku kecik yg sll jual buku 2nd hand tu. kalo g kedai cmni xlh nk lma2 sgt cz kedai kecik & we r spoilt with too many books to choose from. so, kna wt pilihan buku dgn pantas. if not, asyik berlaga dgn org. 

 

i went to 3 different bookshops in a day last weekend, just to kill time =) was with my friend who have d same interest/habit. dlm 1 hari tu, we went to MPH, Popular & also Borders. paling lma kt MPH. paling sekjp kt Borders. & d following day, we went to Popular lg (at anothr mall lk) & berlma2 gk dlm tu. xla smpi 1 jam rasanye, tp puas la menjamu mata & gigih menahan nafsu nk beli mcm2. nanges. T___T

 

terima kasih bookstores in malaysia. masing2 dh upgrade & provide people like me & my friend (& a lot more out there), yg ada this weird connection with bookstores, with nice ambience. best dok dlm bookstore skrg. aircond sepoi2 bahasa je, jst nice if nk duduk lma2 smpi 5jam dlm kedai tu, hehehe. siap ada caffe, sofa gedabak cm kt umh utk nk dok lepak bc buku, mcm2 activities for d public, etc2. & not forgetting d fact that bookshops skrg jual byk sgt cute stationery. haiihhh, hw can i not go crazy bila masuk kedai buku? now, we also hv more of those kedai buku yg jual buku at cheaper price. yes, books in this country adalah sedikit mhl than books sold abroad. tp that shouldn't b an excuse to stop u from reading.

it's my 200th post & i wnt to share smthg i've just read from a book that i bought last weekend. my weekend sucks was filled with terrrrrrlalu byk aktiviti perabih-masa-tak-tentu-hala plus makan-dan-makan-dan-makan-lagi-dan-minum-dan-minum-lagi plus membeli-belah-tak-ingat-dunia, termasuk beli 3 books & 4 bookmarks menarik. uhuuuuu...bertabur duit aku T__T

 

nk kira jp brp byk buku dlm kabinet (&luar kabinet cz dh xmuat nk sumbat dlm kabinet) yg i lom bc... goshhh, tak kuasa la heh nk kira. tp, stil can't get rid of this bad habit of buying books wlpn tau byk je lg yg blom bc, huhuhu. this time i bought books yg xperlukan terlalu byk penggunaan otak utk berfikir. kita beli buku2 lawak jenaka yg leh huhahuhahuha tnpa rs bersalah jelah ye. & 1 of it is:-

1st skali, saya g main kt pool besaaaaaaarrrr!!! ada byk colourful ball dlm pool ni. rmi je yg nk main dgn saya. tp diorg ni ganas ya amat, huhuhu. pnjt2 lpstu terjun dlm pool. saya pn jd cm x selesa, maklong saya lg la x tenteram cz takut bdk2 melompat2 ni kerjakan saya. rupanye kitorg dh tersilap tmpt main daaaa... pool tu utk bdk2 lbh dr 2 thn. bdk2 kecik cm saya ni ada pool lain yg lbh kecil & comel & lbh slmt.

tetiba, saya ternpk la pulak satu permainan ni...ada gmbr mulut kucing kt dpn permainan ni. saya pn nk explore. so, saya pn masuk dlm mulut kucing tu. aunty kata, mainan ni nma dia TEROWONG. whatever la, aunty. 

 

 

oh ye, kalo kwn2 ada parents yg agak paranoid (kwn2 tau ke mkna paranoid?) dgn keselamatan anak2, ckp kt parents kwn2 tu "wahai ibu & ayah, jgn risau. haris ckp, kt tmpt ni ada kakak2 yg sll jg & pusg2 & make sure kitorg sume slmt". a'ah ye btul. kt tmpt ni insyaallah slmt. semua org bila nk masuk kt tmpt indoor playground ni kna pki stokin. saya pn pki, maklong pn pki, kak amani pn pki & aunty yg lg 2org tu pn pki stokin. saya pn xtau for what reason kna pki stokin, tp i believe it's for our own safety.

all-in-all, tmpt ni best sgt!!! saya rs nk dtg lg. tgk la, nt saya pujuk ibu & ayh saya bw saya dtg cni. kak amani ckp, dia nk main byk2 kali smpi 6 kali sbb dia xpuas main. mcmtu la dia betapa bestnye tmpt ni. dkt Kizsports & Gym ni pn ada jual food. so, parents takyah risau psl mknan. kak amani mkn nugget, tp saya kn bdk bwh 2 thn mna leh mkn nugget. parents saya dh bekalkan food utk saya, so maklong suapkn food yg parents saya bekalkan tu je.

 

kalau kwn2 nk buat birthday party kt cni pun boleh. lpstu leh ajak kwn2 lain attend birthday party tu. saya tak tau la pulak brp tmpt ni charge if parents nk organize birthday party kt cni. msa kitorg dtg aritu, ada org wt birthday party kt cni. tp cuma bdk2 yg dijemput je leh join birthday party tu.

 

ok la, tu lah dia citer saya g jln2 & main kt Kizsports & Gym. kalo kwn2 rs boring dok umah, ajak la parents g Kizsports & Gym kt Great Eastern Mall ni. kalo kwn2 surf internet & nk cari psl Kizsports & Gym ni, leh click je kt sini utk dpt some information. ok, saya end dgn 1 pose menarik ye, hehehehe...
