sekarang ni bila send messages to friends (normal sms/whatsapp/facebook messages/twitter/apa saja method lain), orang pakai shortform sahaja. tak kuasa nk spell out the words in full because boleh jadi penat nak menaip panjang-panjang or hanya membanyakkan huruf. ada phone yang being configured in such a way that only 145 characters are allowed in 1 sms. jadinya, orang yang ada handphone macam ni have to be smart dengan penggunaan shortform. but, some shortforms tu dah jadi macam ridiculous je i rasa. or maybe i'm the only one who thinks that word is ridiculous just because i couldn't understand it. ok, mari gelakkan i, hahahaha.

 

yang buatkan cikgu-cikgu and parents risau adalah keadaan masa exam, bilamana budak sekolah guna shortform masa nak jawab exam. jangan! confirm la examiner pun bagi markah short jugak. writing answers for your exam is not the same as writing comments on your friend's facebook. nasib baik shortforms can only be applied dengan PERKATAAN, and not for mathematical equations.

 

tapi bila kita pergi kedai makan, orang kedai selalunya guna shortform je kalau nak ambik order. jenuh la kalau nak amik order untuk 10 orang, tiap orang punya request semua panjang-panjang (nasi goreng cili padi tak nak cili, kueytiau goreng tak nak sayur, ikan kerapu masak sweet sour, meehun goreng singapore tak nak udang....contohnya). so, now i want to test your skill untuk detect apa yang waiter tulis masa i pergi makan dekat 1 restaurant ni:-

went to watch "Oz: The Great and Powerful" at d cinema today. i like James Franco as Harry Osborn in Spiderman... but i like him more as Oscar Diggs in Oz. ms jadi Harry Osborn, he looks cute. tp as Oscar Diggs, he looks matured. ok... physical appearance affected my judgement for his character. *pipi merah* =)

the movie Oz starts with gmbr itam putih. ms tu zmn2 Oscar jd magician in travelling circus. disbbkn dia ni suka flirt, terkantoi la pulak but he escapes dgn hot air balloon. tp hot air balloon tersangkut dlm tornado. dlm ketakutan cz terperangkap dlm tornado tu, tetiba je lps dia ckp "I don't want to die! blablabla...", hot air balloon telah dibawa landing ke Land of Oz. ta-daaaa.... kata magic!!!

 

masa kt Land of Oz ni dh ada colour. bunga, pokok, langit, jln, rumput, etc2...sume cantikkkk!!! kalo nk lbh effect yg best, lh tgk dgn 3D. i like that the movie has some funny scripts and characters. & i also like to see how Oscar uses his tricks to defeat the witches. konsep2 science ada digunakan, so ada lah unsur2 education di situ =)

d  Formula One (F1) racing for 2013 season begins this weekend at the Melbourne circuit. d drivers (& the whole team) will then head on to Malaysia for next weekend's race at Sepang (22 - 24 March 2013). utk peminat F1 yg blom dptkn tiket to watch d race live at our own Sepang circuit, tiket2 masih available. lokasi menjual tiket yg i tau ada kt KL Sentral. sila la sila g beli tiket & beramai2 la g tgk race kt Sepang.

 

sempena dgn 2013 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix ni jugak akn diadakn sesi bertemu peminat & konsert. konsert "Twin Towers @Live 2013" kt KLCC nnt bkn bertujuan utk tgk drivers menyanyi, tp nk tgk artists perform. the international artists to perform during the concert this year will include Backstreet Boys, Demi Lovato & Kpop stars, U-Kiss and 2NE1. sape2 nk tgk d "Twin Towers @Live 2013" concert, head on to Plaza KLCC on 22 and 23 March 2013, okaayyyy.

i've been working on various things/projects in d office now, by d time i reach home dh mmg terlalu tak larat. exhausted. maka itulah blog dibiarkn begitu sahaja, hahaha. kasihan sekali.

 

setelah pnt bekerja keras, d best way to unwind sebentar is to go for a holiday. i taknak holiday dkt2 (cheh, berlagak!!!). sbnrnye dh de idea dlm kpale nk g holiday kt mna. tp kita pertimbangkn jugak la options lain (hrs ambil kira keaadan kewangan). mslhnye, tak brp excited sgt pn dgn options lain tu. lantas buat decision akhir yg plg mudah dgn beli tiket g Jakarta & stayed with my friend and her family kt sna.

 

 

itu kwn i since form 1... to b exact, classmate i since form 1 smpi form 5. lps hbs SPM, we didn't meet for about 2 years tp smhw still in contact with each othr. zmn dulu mna ada henfon/email/fesbuk/twitter/whatsapp/etc2 apa segala mcm yg ada skrg ni. so communicate dgn kaedah tradisional - tls surat & pos or bergayut lma2 dlm tepon...sgt tradisional (sukati i je call dia kt Sarawak pki tepon rumah, mcm la Sarawak tu dkt sgt, hahahaha). we met again ms kitrg buat degree. habis study, dia trus dok Jkta with her husband, smpi la skrg.

 

walaupn kwn i ni ada 3 org ank, tp she's so kind utk menemankn g berjln ke mna2. by berjln2 i mksdkn g bershopping. utk mengelakkn ank2 meragam kebosanan krn mama meneman kwn2 dia lma sgt utk bershopping, jd ank2 ditinggalkn kt rumah.

our first day after we arrived at Jkta, kitrg g TanahAbang (oh ye, i went there with anthr 2 friends). i've been to TanahAbang before, so basically dh tau keadaannye cmne. sape yg nk dpt sikit gmbaran about TanahAbang - imagine kedai2 aked jual kain/tudung/telekung and whatnot kt Jln TAR, multiply that with 5 (sekurg2nye) and tinggikan d building kpd 10 tingkat. haaaaa.... gitulah agk2nye =) ok la, mgkn itu exaggerate melampau. but d truth is TanahAbang ni mmg luas gillerrrr... & byk tgkt... & sng nk rambang mata cz byk sgt mnda best nk beli. accrding to my friend, ada blok A, B and F. kitrg ni g blok A seharian pn x habis pusg. tp awas, hrs pndi guna bargaining power di sini. i hv d advntge cz kwn i ni gna bahasa indon utk bargain. kalo nk hrpkn i yg bargain, mmg aku mntk kurgkn 5 ringgit ribu rupiah je. hahahaha, sgt perlu mengasah bakat tawar menawar.

our 2nd day lk, paginye kitrg ikut g pasar. tujuan g psr cz nk beli brg makanan nk bw blk Msia. nk kerepek yg belum gorg, ada... yg dh bergoreng pn ada. mcm2 jns. boleh test try cuba rasa. kalo sedap, mntk la brp kilo yg korg nk.

blk dr psr, bdk2 kembar ni dh lelap. so, ditinggalkn kt rumah and we went to another shopping mall, Ambassador Mall and ITC. ok, that's 2 actually. Ambassador & ITC ni sebelah menyebelah. u can cross d road or lh gna jln bwh tanah. memndgkn i dh beli most of what i want/need kt TanahAbang, kt cni tggl cari brg len yg i xjmp lg je. Ambassador dgn ITC ni rsnye x sesak cm TanahAbang tu. brg2 yg jual kt cni pn sma gk mcm yg jual kt TanahAbang (ada kain, baju, telekung, beg, etc2). tp price mbe mhl sket. so again, pandai2la gunakan kebijaksanaan utk tawar menawar. and kt cni pn ada jual DVDs, kamera, gadgets, etc2, if u r into it.

 

d next day, kwn i bw kitrg g tgk rumah yg dia sewakan, which is a little bit far from d city. kt rumah tu ada swimming pool. memandangkn i x reti berenang, i dok tepi kolam jelah & tgk bdk2 tu swimming. (meh nyanyi lagu tiga kupang - "dayang tepi kolam mahu jemur tepung, dtg burung itam patuk btg idung idung idung idung").

my friend planned to take us to Ancol aftr that. tp ms on d way blk from berenang2 ni, jln to Ancol jammed sgt2. jdnye cancel la plan nk g Ancol. blk rumah, kwn i ni siap2kn cik kembar tu to attend birthday party ank jiran dia. birthday party giller hbt meriah siap ada kereta kuda lg tu....

after i completed my bachelor's degree at IIUM, it didn't immediately cross my mind to continue with getting a Master's degree. dh abis bljr kn, pkir nk cr kerja jelah. tp i sort of jd cm org blank/blur (mmg la sedia asal blur pn)... nk kerja tp xtau nk kerja kt mna/nk kerja apa. sempat la submit resume kt company, tp submit resume pn bkn dgn sepenuh hati. sempat gk g interview kt 1 or 2 tmpt tp mmg x sepenuh hati pn g interview.

 

luckily it didn't took me longer to discover d Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) program at IIUM. kebetulannye my ex-roommate was taking this program at that time, so she became my source of reference. i asked her everything that i needed to know, including "susah x buat masters?" and "ok ke buat MLIS ni?" (soalan2 standard utk org yg masih 50-50 & xtau nk pilih jln mna). i became d all-rounder - submitted my resume & went for interview dgn x sepenuh hati, sibuk called my friend who was d source of reference, applied for the MLIS program & finally got my offer letter to do MLIS d following semester - all these in 1 semester.

 

basically lps undergrad i sempat menganggur for 1 semester jgk la. MENGANGGUR mknanye xde duit/income. duit dlm savings xla sebyk mna pd ketika itu. tp ada hati nk buat masters. so, savings digunakan utk byr registration fees & what not. during my 1st semester, i realized yg perbelanjaan/cost of living meningkat akibat photocopy and printing. print assignments, photocopy journal articles, print journal articles yg online, photocopy notes, etc2... seriously, duit semakin menyusut. tetiba b4 d end of that 1st semester, i saw an advertisement posted on the notice board to apply for scholarship. when money became d issue, i pkir d only chance to get more money is by getting a scholarship. & d only way to get a scholarship is by studying hard and get perfect scores for all courses that i took in that 1st semester so that nx semester dh leh dpt scholarship.

 

d motivation to study hard & to score good marks pd awalnye came from d idea to get a scholarship. i did pretty well in that 1st semester, went to the administration office again to ask about d scholarship & was asked these questions - "what's d topic of your research? where's your research proposal?". i was like "huh, apa hal pulak dgn topik utk research bagai ni?". that was when i got to know that in order to get a scholarship, one must be a postgraduate student doing Master by research. adoiiii. sempat la rs down sekjp cz kpale dok pkir "duit duit, di mana kau duit". tp memandangkn my results in that 1st semester x menghampakan hati i, i guessed that d most logical thing to do is just to continue & study sehabis baik for d remaining courses. selebihnye kita serah pd Allah cz Dia yg mmberi rezki.

 

mmg btul Allah tu maha kaya & Dia bg kt kita mnda yg kita nk pd wktu yg kita xjgka. wpun i xdpt scholarship, i stil survived dgn duit yg mmg xde tnjk ciri2 nk meningkat dlm account. pandai2 la urus duit ms tu. & tetiba, i was offered utk kerja parttime jg resource centre at the faculty. i worked there with another friend. kerja parttime cnfirm2 la dpt duit =) suka. xde la sesak nafas sgt pkir duit nk byr itu ini.

 

tp bila duit dh xjd issue, mnda len lk yg jd issue... i was forced to become wiser in managing my time. kalo kelas pg, kna kerja ptg. kalo kelas ptg, kna kerja pg. so, sesak nafas pkir cmne nk divide masa utk wt assignments/g library/wt discussion/group project/bc articles/etc2 (tp, asal mlm je sibuk main Zuma smpi ntah kul brp... yg tu pndi la pulak i divide time, muahahaha). as a result of xbrp wise nk divide masa utk study & kerja, jd lah i seorg gadis yg sntiasa penuh dgn airmata cz xtahan dh idup x terurus. byk kali gk i nanges cz dh xlarat sgt nk study. susahnye. rs nk quit. i was already in my final semester & penuh dgn perasaan nk stop study bcz rs xmampu nk urus ms utk study & kerja =( giller btul ms tu. itu br kerja parttime.

 

however, i had good support system around me. lecturers, friends, family - they were my source of inspiration. lgpn, i sndiri yg decide to continue studying. dlm erti kata lain, i sndiri yg gatal nk smbg buat Master. kalo i quit ms dh nk habis, mmg la xde org len yg leh dipersalahkn kecuali i. so, i bertahan. gigih. truskn gk wpun byk nanges (syaiton mmg berusaha habis2an nk hasut supaya i quit). & finally i managed to complete d whole program in one and a half years.

 

to me, i don't think i'll b able to do well if i work & study at d same time. maka itu, i tabik spring kt sesiapa yg smbg study & kerja serentak (ex-officemate, anda dlm kategori ini, hehehe).

 

~ getting a Master's degree ~

 

had d chance to meet my lecturers yg i dh xjmp for almost 5 years. it got me thinking that i owe them too much. nk bls jasa cekgu2 yg dah bg i pandai ms buat masters dulu bknnye senang. so sebagai nk membls jasa, i buat la promotion yg x brp nk grand ni:-
